For those who do not know... singing is not as easy as it is made out to be... or as it looks... there is so much that goes into being a classically trained singer and so much that can make a body want to quit and throw away every piece of music owned. 1. PRACTICE: now i know that for everthing there is a certain amount of practice that has to take place to become the best, but i hate practicing sometimes. lets take about 3 hours out of my day and give it soley to singing... and not fun singing... but the kind that has more warming up than actually singing thn when you do start singing... it's stop and start because you have to make sure that you know all of it!!! and know it well... back to front and inside out....ARGH!!!! how aggrevating. 2. THEORY: if i thought practicing was bad next came this monstrosity. not only do i have to learn it BUT then im expected to remember it and use it! (although i am going into music and will be using it a lot.. indulge me) why do i need to know about the dominant chords, the tonic chords, the other half a dozen chords, the inversions for these 8 chords. when will i really need to use an appoggiatura or know the structual phrasing, and interrupted cadence or the difference between a menuet and a sarabande! do you know what they are?
in other news this week has been totally boring! I AM BORED OFF MY A$$!! there is nothing going on and when there is it's the same ole thing. nothing new ever comes along and it's beginning to piss me off. well not piss me off but i really want something fun to happen something that has never happened and will blow the lid off this town... well not really the town.. but blow some fun into it... there thats better. ahh well there's always next year... at least then i can go to a bar and see what fun lies there.
